School Uniform, Timings & Good Manners

A disciplined and well-mannered student body is the hallmark of Gyan Sthali Public School. Here are the guidelines for school uniform, timings, and the code of conduct we expect from every student.

School Uniform

Prescribed Uniform for Boys & Girls

For Boys

  • Gray Half/Full Pants
  • Off-red/Carrot Colour Shirt
  • School Tie, Belt & Badge
  • Black Shoes and Grey Socks
  • White or Grey Turban (for Sikh students)
On House-Day: Complete White Uniform

For Girls

Std. Nursery to Std. V

  • Grey Tunic
  • Off-red/Carrot Colour Shirt
  • School Tie, Belt & Badge
  • Black Shoes and Grey Socks

Std. VI to Std. VIII

  • Grey Salwar
  • Off-red/Carrot Colour Suit/Kurti
  • School Badge
  • Black Shoes and Grey Socks
On House-Day: Complete White Uniform

Uniform Guidelines

  • Winter Uniform: Full Sweater/Blazer (Maroon Colour) will be worn in addition to the above. Scarf or muffler must be only of maroon colour.
  • Proper Uniform: Students will regularly attend the school in proper uniform of the school's approved material, colour, shape and design.
  • Personal Grooming: Students must maintain properly cut short hair, trimmed nails, clean and properly pressed dress, and polished shoes to keep themselves trim-looking and smart.
  • Wrong Uniform: Attendance in wrong uniform (including belts, shoes and socks) is not permissible.
  • Caps: Students are not allowed to wear caps in the school.
  • Non-Sikh Boys: Should get their hair cut at regular intervals to always have short and dressed hair.

The above-mentioned timings are subject to change at the discretion of the Principal. Parents can meet the Principal during class-hours.

Good Manners

Dos and Don'ts for Students

We believe in nurturing not just academically excellent students, but also well-mannered, respectful, and disciplined individuals.

Dos

  • Always speak the truth.
  • Be polite, courteous & respectful in talk.
  • Pay regards to your parents, teachers and elders. Greet them with a smile.
  • Obey your parents, teachers & school authorities.
  • Say "Thank you" when you have to express gratitude.
  • Say "Sorry" if you happen to do something wrong.
  • Say "I beg your pardon" when you have not clearly heard or understood something.
  • Be punctual and sincere.
  • Always stand in a queue when you have to get some work at the counter.
  • Remember God when you get up in the morning, when you go to bed at night and also before each meal.
  • Always wash your hands with soap before & after the meals.
  • Keep yourself and your things neat, clean and tidy.
  • Keep your classroom and school campus neat and clean. Throw waste papers, wrappers, etc. into the dustbins.

Don'ts

  • Never interrupt anybody's conversation.
  • Never speak with your mouthful.
  • Do not make a noise in the absence of your teachers.
  • Do not write on the walls, furniture, etc.
  • Do not spit on the floor or walls.
  • Do not tear pages from your books, notebooks or school diary.
  • Do not keep your elbows on the table.

Remember: Good manners are a reflection of a good character. They make you a better person and a more respected member of society.
